Joseph Cohen is a board-certified ergonomist and hazard control manager who provides technical and scientific advisory support on legal and regulatory matters involving human factors, ergonomics, and safety. Various companies and organizations have hired Joseph to manage projects across industries and settings including but not limited to construction, energy generation, food service, consumer products, industrial products, warehousing, hospitality, and retail sales.
Dr. Cohen is a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. His professional service includes immediate past-President of the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics and the Finance and Budget Committee of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. Dr. Cohen's research and writings on pedestrian falls, hazard communications, and forensics have been published in books, journals, and trade publications. He holds four degrees, including a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Riverside, M.A. degree in human factors psychology from California State, Northridge and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in industrial/organizational psychology from Alliant International University, San Diego where he received the award "Outstanding Doctor of Philosophy".
